MOTHER MAY I

SUSAN BURNS (Playwright) –

ALIZA SHANE (Director) is a director, playwright and producer. Aliza most recently wrote and directed Mein Uncle, An absurdist fairytale about the seeds of inhumanity, produced by 3V Theatre. Past credits include: writing/directing Are You There Zeus? It’s Me, Electra (PC Award for Outstanding Direction), The Imaginary Invalid: By Prescription Only (PC Award for Overall Production), The Spanish Wives: A Groovy Tale of Peace, Love and Restoration, and The Three Sillies (NYIT Award for Outstanding Short Script). Aliza is the co-founder and Co-Artistic Director of 3 Voices Theatre.

LUISA SABELLA (Mother) is an actress/singer/dancer, native New Yorker and women’s rights activist. She is currently seeking professional representation. Her career spans musical theatre, children’s theatre, film and Shakespeare but some favorite credits include: Animal Story (Lioness) at the Midtown International Theatre Festival, The Full Monty (Joanie/Susan) at the Westchester Sandbox Theatre, The Twisted Cross (Helen) with Perchance to Dream Theatre Co and Eve Ensler’s Emotional Creature with the 4th Universalist V-Day Initiative. KELLY LEIGH SINDELL (Daughter) studied acting at HB Studio with Michael Beckett, and with Cathy Russell and Rob Sedgwick. Recent credits include Daisy in Anatol, Arial in The Buttcracker, Nikki in The End as We Know It, Debbie in A Moment in Time, and The Woman in the Aviatrix’s Outfit in Chamber Music. MICHAEL PICHARDO (Rene) — Born and raised in the Lower East Side, Michael Pichardo has an Associate’s Degree in Performing Arts from Queensborough Community College. Regional Theatre Credits: The Favor (Chicago Fringe). Off-Broadway credits: Othello (Chernuchin Theatre – ATA) and The Last Hour (Royal Family). Off-Off Broadway credits: Punk Grandpa, Tape/A Tiger in Central Park, Wildlife, The Skin of Our Teeth, Allie’s Appendix, Twelve Angry Men, and Sex, Relationships, and Sometimes Love. He is a member of the Articulate Theatre Company and a freelance spoken word artist. His short film debut in Judgment is on Vimeo. 

 

MOTHER’S DAY PAINTBALL MASSACRE

LENNY SCHWARTZ (Playwright) is the writer/ director of such plays as Subject 62, Buster Keaton: Fade to Black, Lucy, The Wire Game, Higher Methods and Fidelity as well as many others. He is also the screenwriter of with Scorpio Film Releasing’s film Murder University which is available on DVD in national distribution as well as the films Normal (going around to film festivals), Accidental Incest (being released on DVD worldwide May 10, 2016) as well as the film of Subject 62, Scorpio and IM Filmworks’ production of Scary Little F*&ckers. Lenny’s new play The Social Avenger is currently playing in Rhode Island and will be playing in NYC July 1-3, 2016!

JENN TUFARO (Director) — Originally from North Dakota, Jenn has worked as an actor, director, playwright, stage manager, production manager, board op, designer and producer. Jenn has written, directed and/or acted in all of 3V’s staged reading events. Select acting credits include: Baal (Looking Glass Theatre), The Maguffin (Stone Soup/Philadelphia Fringe),The Ghost Dancers (Stone Soup/June Havoc Theatre, MITF Award, Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Play), A Chicken Goes to Broadway (Samuel French Short Play Festival, Peter Jay Sharp Theatre), Young Jean Lee’s Church (The Public Theater) and Always Family (The Kirk Theater on Theatre Row). She has also produced/participated in six V-Day events in NYC/NJ. Jenn is the co-founder and Co-Artistic Director of 3 Voices Theatre. She’s wife to the amazing Greg and mommy to her sweet boys Jake (3) and 11-month-old JohnJohn. LOVE.

RONI LAYTIN (Lily) is uber grateful to be a part of this speedy and delightful project. She’s been playing guilt tripping matrons since Yente in ‘99 and Lily is no exception. Recent theater and film credits include: Be Our Guest and Mad Full of Dreams. KELLY MARIE McKENNA (Jennifer) was last seen with 3V as Uncle Crispin in A Future Flame and Kris in State Of Flux as a part of Great Scott! and as Donna Jo in I Heart Uncle Jesse as part of Starf*ckers. PUT THE FUN IN FUNERAL

DONNA LATHAM (Playwright) is thrilled to be involved with 3V again! Donna’s plays have been produced coast to coast and across the pond. Selected credits: And We Will Share the Sky was a Kennedy Center Finalist for the David Mark Cohen Playwriting Award and was the recipient of the National Theatre for Young Audiences Playwriting Award from the University of Central Missouri. A Midnight Clear: The Christmas Truce of 1914 was a semi-finalist, Dionysus Cup Festival of New Plays; Polarity Ensemble Theatre Company, Chicago, and premiered at the Batavia Arts Council in the Chicago area last year. Donna’s latest play, Most Wretched Deathbed Fever Dreams of Edgar Allan Poe, recently received a staged reading with Scriptwriters/Houston. Donna is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild.

MARY REGAN (Jen) has appeared in past 3V readings as well as productions at Looking Glass Theatre, LaMama ETC., NYC Fringe Festival and Perchance to Dream Theatre. She also has done improv and solo comedy at UCB Theatre, Magnet Theatre and The PIT. Additionally, she also does storytelling and writes and draws a comic, “Sainted” as well as a web comic, “Where Am I?”

SARAH SAWYER (Dee Dee) recently moved to NYC after training at the Bristol Old Vic Theatre School in Bristol, England. International: The London Cuckolds (Tobacco factory), Cat on a Hot Tin Roof (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School) and The Odyssey (Bristol Old Vic Theatre School). JORDAN TIERNEY (Grover) – Going on seven years working in New York, Jordan’s credits include Perry Stewart in The Royal Family, Mercutio in Ampersand: A Romeo & Juliet Story and as Stinky Holloway in the revival of the 1983 Broadway cult classic, Moose Murders. ERIN POSANTI (Olive) is a pint-sized, feisty, curly haired, Italian/Hungarian actress, with a BFA in Dance Performance, and a sweet spot for puppies, kickboxing, and snacks! Erin started out dancing in beauty pageants and competitive jazz dance troupes as a child and teen, and eventually earned her BFA in Dance Performance from Kent State University. After dancing professionally in Cleveland, Erin moved to NYC in 2008. She studied acting at HB Studio with Michael Beckett and improv at The Magnet Theater. Currently, she studies TV/Film with Lorrel Manning at the Barrow Group. She has performed in various Off-Off Broadway plays at the Manhattan Theater Source, Hudson Guild Theater, and Duplex Cabaret as well as small film, TV, and internet projects, and is now SAG/AFTRA Eligible. Most recently she performed with the Dirty Blondes Theatre Co. in B.L. O. (Barbie Liberation Organization) and this Fall, will be filming the role of Luna, a sweet airheaded housemaid, in the feature film Bohemia, with Rahaman Studios. Currently, Erin earns a freelance living pretending to be sick as a Standardized Patient at various medical schools in Manhattan.
