As part of 3V Staged Readings Series, in celebration of our first full-length production Mein Uncle (and the large birdcage involved), we’re a thrilled to announce CAGED!

There are all kinds of cages out there – caged people, caged (and cage-free) animals, caged heat, Cage aux Folles, cage fighters… the list goes on and on! Join us as we bring you different tales – funny, tragic and bizarre stories of “cages!”

Brandon Ferraro

 

Brandon Ferraro (playwright) is a playwright and actor based in Manhattan. He was raised in Springfield, Virginia just outside Washington, DC. Brandon holds a B.A. in Theatre from James Madison University. Other works include Who Doesn’t Love Ben Franklin?, Shall We Go?, Andre Washington and Crystal Stevens. His one act play Walter Lawrence earned the Best Play award at the 2013 Unchained Theatre Festival. Brandon’s short story Dad’s Safe was recently printed in the Bushwick Review.

Ria T. DiLullo (director) is a New York City native and graduate of Brown University.  She is currently in residence at the Flea Theater as well as having started her own NYC-based theater company, called Marrow’s Edge.  Ria has enjoyed traveling, working, and studying in theatres from San Francisco to Romania.  Her directing credits include We Are Samurai, 1001, Tinerete, and Deaths of Pan.

MeghanRoseToneryMeghan Rose Tonery (Linda) is thrilled to be an ensemble member of 3V Theatre Company! This marks her third 3V Staged Reading performance. She is a graduate of Marymount Manhattan College where she received a B.A. in Theatre Performance.  Favorite roles include: Lulu, Life Among the Natives (Milk Can Theatre Company), Ethel, Yetta, and Rose in The Triangle Fire Factory Project (CenterStage), Olivia in Shakespeare in Hollywood (Blackfriars), Megan in Welcome to the Neighborhood (CenterStage), Corie in Barefoot in the Park (CenterStage), Theresa in The Hostage (RCP’s Irish Players of Rochester) and Olivia in Twelfth Night (Webster Shakespeare Festival).  Thank you to the crew of 3V for creating another night of exciting theatre!

Donna LathamDonna Latham (playwright) has been making up stuff, acting it out, and writing it down forever. Her plays have been produced coast to coast. And We Will Share the Sky is a Kennedy Center Finalist for the David Mark Cohen Playwriting Award and is the recipient of the National Theatre for Young Audiences Playwriting Award from the University of Central Missouri. Grievances and Whirligigs was part of the Biscuit Tin Reading Series in Belfast and had readings at No Shame Athens in Georgia and the EstroGenius Festival at the Manhattan Theatre Source. A Midnight Clear: The Christmas Truce of 1914 was a semi-finalist, Dionysus Cup Festival of New Plays; Polarity Ensemble Theatre Company, Chicago. Coyote’s Moon went up at the La MaMa Theatre 50 Block Party in New York. Three by the Sea received its world premiere at Looking Glass Theatre in New York. Be Bold, Be Bold was produced at the Geneva Underground Playhouse. MyFace received its world premiere in the EstroGenius Festival at the Manhattan Theatre Source and later went up at F.A.C.T.’s WORDS & WINE Reading Series in New York. Do These Jeans Make My Butt Look Massive? received its first New York production at The Looking Glass Forum. Proverbs was a finalist in the Irish Fest Play Contest at the Irish American Heritage Center in Chicago, appeared at the Snowdance Comedy Festival in Racine, was shortlisted by the Women at Play(s) Festival in Vancouver, ran along with Paddy and the Mermaid at Prime Time Players in Chapel Hill, and appeared at Frogs With Fangs in Columbus, Ohio. It went up at Unity Stage Theatre’s Figgy Pudding Festival in Queens. Corner Critics opened Nothing Without a Company’s Word Circus II in Chicago. Donna received an Honorable Mention Award from the Beverly Hills Theatre Guild for Paddy and the Mermaid. Donna is a proud member of the Dramatist Guild.

Rebecca Lewis-WhitsonRebecca Lewis-Whitson (director) is thrilled to be directing with 3V Theatre again. She has also directed and assistant directed with Reality Aside Theatre, Astoria Performing Arts Center, Mekka Collective, Unity Stage Company, EBE Ensemble, NYC Fringe Festival, Manhattan Repertory Theatre, Management Theatre Company, The Secret Theatre, and most recently took a plunge into performance art with Forward Flux Productions. Rebecca had the honor of traveling to Chicago to be a part of the 2012 Director’s Lab. Many thanks to her parents for never once suggesting that maybe she should start focusing more on a “real job,” and to Jeff for the kind of life that makes her continue wanting to tell stories.

Angel Dotson (Helicopter Mom) is looking forward to her first staged reading with 3V Theatre. Everyone has been great to work with, even if for just a brief period of time and looks forward to future productions. Emily Fortunato (Regina) is often described as spunky, passionate and fiery. She graduated from Manhattanville College with a B.A in Communications and Theatre. Emily was a part of The View From Here - A Festival of Short Films – co-produced by Red Wall Productions and The Fairfield Theatre Company. At the festival, she won the audience award for best actress, and new- coming visionary.  Most recently, Emily filmed three episodes of a comedy series with Gray Hour Media called “Killer Friends.” The series can be seen on Funny or Die. Jordan Tierney (Jason) — A 3V company member going on six years working in New York, Jordan’s credits include Perry Stewart in The Royal Family, Mercutio in Ampersand: A Romeo and Juliet Story and recently as Torvald Helmer in the revival of the 1982 flop, A Doll’s Life. Megan Cooper (director) has worked as a director of both theatre and opera in NYC, regionally and in the UK. New York credits include: Spring Pictures of a Floating World (Peculiar Works Project at La Mama), the dreamer examines his pillow (Big Sky Prod.), Rip! (MITF), The Gift (AND), a number of Stickys (Blue Box Prod.), and Katherine Williams’s solo show Call Me (TIC, MITF, Estrogenius Fest).

Alexandra Hiotakis (Charlie) is proud to be in her second 3V reading. She spent over 10 years traveling and performing only to come back to her love, New York City. Currently filming a web series “Trafico”  and  just finished filming a short Only Child as Mary. Her favorite theater roles include Facilitator in Monstrous Love, Ms. K in Pedestrian Casualty and V-Day 2011 The Vagina Monologues. She currently working on building her film and tv resume. Carly RobinsCarly Robins (playwright) is an actress, voice over artist, producer and writer living in Brooklyn, NY. Favorite roles include Judith in The Possibilities, Everybody Dies, Magic Metro Card. She has been in several web series including “I’m Sorry Melissa,” “Headhunters,” and “Fantasy Sports League” for Bloomberg Sports. In addition, she co-produced and starred in The Dead Walk In Brooklyn short film series . Her voice can be heard in commercials, promos, video games, and audio narration. She was also featured on an episode of the Style Network’s “Married Away.” TV work includes on “One Life To Live,” “Guiding Light” and “As The World Turns.” She is currently working on two pilots for food based lifestyle shows. Carly is so excited and honored to be a part of 3V and to be working with all these amazing ladies.

Kerri Dillon (Det. Calista Moreno), originally from NY, is currently based out of LA developing her career in film and television. She is delighted to be back on stage in NY even if it is just for an evening of fantastic one-acts while she visits her family for the holidays. Kerri lives to laugh, play pretend and find new ways to cultivate community. When she’s not auditioning, Kerri is most likely “playing princess” for children’s birthday parties and is currently developing a new kind of party princess that she is stoked to share this summer! Robert Getz (One) is thrilled to part a part of the Caged reading series with 3V Theatre and Cage of Cages. Robert was mostly recently seen as Owen in Bromance of the Exes as part of the Planet Connections Festival. He was also seen in Lloyd in The Office Spouse, Webster in Days of Miracle and Wonder, and Bernie in The Value of Empty Boxes all at Manhattan Repertory Theatre as well as Kevin in Back in the Box at Looking Glass Theatre. A few favorite past credits include Hero in Forum, Norman in Norman! It that You?, and Mercutio in Romeo and Juliet.

Chablis Quarterman (Two) is a New York City native who studied acting at LaGuardia High School for Music and Art and the Performing Arts. She is currently studying at the People’s Improv Theater, where she is also an intern. She has been nominated for Best Actress at the Strawberry One-Act Festival for two consecutive years, and performs standup comedy around the city at venues including Comic Strip Live and Gotham Comedy Club. This is her first reading series with 3 Voices Theatre, and she is excited to be apart of it!
